I love growing native New Zealand grasses. They come in all sorts of colours and sizes and are variously known as grasses, sedges or tussocks. It was driving through the plains and high country of the South Island as a child that first did it for me; gazing at the swathes of golden or brown grasses rippling in the wind as we drove by.
